Give A Boost Award
In June 2009, The Boosters introduced a new award to recognize a Millburn High School senior who has achieved academically during his or her high school career and also has displayed diverse academic, community and personal interests and accomplishments. Selection of the winner of the $1,000 award is made by The Boosters’ Board with the assistance of the MHS Guidance Department.

The 2017 Millburn-Short Hills Scholastic Boosters’ Give-A-Boost Awards have been presented to senior Amy Nadel, who will attend The College of William & Mary,  beginning this fall and Rachel Novick, who will attend Washington University in St. Louis.

Amy received the University of Rochester George Eastman Young Leaders Award for strong leadership experience at school and in the community, high grades and extensive involvement in extracurricular activities.

Named most valuable player of the MHS women’s volleyball team three times, she also captained the schools’ company and served as the Student Life Liaison to the Faculty-Life Committee. 

Rachel is a 2017 National Merit Scholarship finalist and a recipient the AP Scholar with Distinction Award. She was selected for a two-year term to raise school policy concerns of students with the Millburn Township Board of Education.
Give-A-Boost Awards/2

A featured skater on a national competition team of Bravo! Theater on Ice, she has represented US Figure Skating in international competitions in France and Spain, while assisting in creating and teaching choreography. A four-year member of the MHS Winter and Spring track and field teams, she holds school records in the long jump as well as in individual and relay races.
