“Since 1947, making a critical difference in the academic lives, and, ultimate, the
professional lives of worthy young people from our community.”

 Our Mission

If Ben Franklin was alive today, he would have rewritten his best-known adage to read: ”Nothing is certain but death, taxes and increased college costs.” Despite stagnant income levels and historically low interest rates, costs at both public universities and private relentlessly increase.

For many deserving students, the challenge of assembling a financial package to attend college becomes more difficult each year. The cost of textbooks alone can reach upwards of $700 a semester.

Now in its 70th year of service to our community, The Millburn-Short Hills Scholastic Boosters lends a hand to ease the students’—and their families’ – burdens through a grant program. The organization has raised and made more than $1 million in grants to more than 1,000 young people in our town after careful examination of each student’s situation.

In recent years, individual Boosters grants, which are based on demonstrated financial need, have ranged from $500 to $1,500 for the school year.
